DANIEL J. HALL

Daniel J. Hall (b. 1971) was appointed Director of Choral Activities at West Texas A&M University in 2003. In addition to his conducting and teaching responsibilities, he is an active choral clinician, overseeing major recruiting events such as the Texas Panhandle Honor Choir and Texas Interscholastic League (UIL) choral and solo/ensemble contests.

Dr. Hall holds music degrees from Weber State University (BA), Brigham Young University (MM) and the University of Miami (DMA). His compositions and arrangements have been performed at all-state festivals across the country and at a variety of state, regional and national music events, with performances at the New York, Oklahoma City and Chicago national conventions of the American Choral Directors Association. Performance venues include such locations as Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. In recent years, his music has been heard as far away as the Cork, Ireland International Choral Festival and Venezuela. Under Dr. Hall's direction, West Texas A&M choral ensembles have travelled extensively across the Southwest United States and throughout Europe, performing a wide variety of concerts in England, Belgium, France, and Italy. Venues for these performance tours include (but are not limited to): St. Paul's Cathedral, Oxford University, Cloucester Cathedral, University of Leuven (Belgium), Church of the Madeleine (Paris), St. Mark's Basilica (Venice), The Mantova Duomo and the Bibiena Theatre (Mantova, Italy). He currently resides in Canyon, Texas with his wife, Bonnie and their four children: Elizabeth, Gale, Logan, and Lydia.
