David V. Montoya
David V. Montoya, a native of Southern California, currently living in West Covina, CA, received a Bachelors degree in Music Education from California State University, Los Angeles and a Masters of Music degree from the University of Nevada, Reno. He currently teaches at La Habra High School where he directs the choir and classical guitar programs. His compositions are mainly in the realm of a capella choral music, from the silly to the sacred. However, he also writes for guitar, piano, and accompanied choirs. He seeks his inspiration from the music of various cultures from around the world. Montoya studies composition with his dear friend and teacher William Allaudin Mathieu.
