Based on an elegant 8th century text attributed to St. Ambrose of Milan, this lush setting of the Latin text perfectly reflects the prayer's gentle plea for blessing and repose. While only of moderate difficulty, it includes a short aleatoric section which requires a good choir to render well. A wonderful festival or concert selection!
